The company is based in 55234 Wendelsheim, near Mainz/Ludwigshafen/Mannheim and has an office in Mannheim.
We are looking for
a full-time or part-time technical bioinformatician (f/m/d) for our medical device development division who is willing to develop and grow with us. The employment relationship is initially limited to 2 years.

Your tasks
- IT support in the establishment of fluorescence optical processes
- Support with component selection for hardware and sensors
- Development of hardware and software and corresponding test software
- Software development for the simulation of optical scenarios
- Scientific support for own R&D activities in the biomedical sector
- Cloud-based database development and further development
- Technical support for employees, cooperation partners and customers
- Interface development between laboratory equipment and software solutions
Your profile
- You have a university degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in bioinformatics, computer science (f/m/d), biotechnology (f/m/d) or a comparable degree and ideally have initial professional experience in the areas of responsibility described
- You are characterized by professional competence, the ability to work in a team and reliability, coupled with an independent and structured as well as customer and solution-oriented way of working
- You demonstrate a good mix of technical understanding of biological-medical contexts and competence in developing bioinformatic processing scenarios for the data involved
- Preferably you already have experience in the development and maintenance of bioinformatic workflows
- You have a good command of written and spoken German and English
- Ideally, you already have experience in the regulated area (ISO, GLP)
- We expect you to be confident with MS Office
- You show flexibility and commitment
