At the Luckenwalde site of mfd Diagnostics GmbH, since 2008 located in the biotech park, methods and devices for noninvasive or minimally invasive intravital diagnostics are developed. Therefore highly innovative measurement technologies in biophotonics are used. The devices and procedures developed by us will be particularly useful in the areas of monitoring during birth, the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease and other dementia diseases and cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, devices and procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer are being developed.

To achieve these goals a team of specialists in laser technology, signal and information processing, high-frequency technology, pharmacy and medicine / biology is at work.
